SUS Foundation of Canada offers a wide range of giving options for you to provide your support now or in the future. There are many options for you to support Ukrainian culture and education by giving to SUS Foundation. Cash Gift: Gifts made by cash, cheque or money order are considered gifts of cash. You will receive a tax receipt for the year in which the donation was received.

Credit Card Gift: Your donation by credit card is processed on the date it is received. The charitable donation amount will be equal to the amount processed. Click the Donate Now button or click here to donate by credit card.

Wills and Bequests: You can defer your gift and designate SUS Foundation of Canada as a beneficiary of your estate. You can “give and bequeath” a fixed amount, a percentage or residue.

Gifts of Securities: Securities which are regularly traded on a public stock exchange or mutual funds units can be donated to SUSFoundation of Canada. If you are planning to donate securities please consult your tax advisor.

Gift of Retirement Fund: A portion or all of your RRSP or RRIF can be donated to SUS Foundation of Canada. SUS Foundation of Canada may also be made a beneficiary of the RRSP or RRIF. Please consult your tax advisor to determine the best method for you.

Gift of Real Property: Gifts of real property can be accepted by SUS Foundation of Canda. Please contact SUS Foundation of Canada as this kind of gift requires planning.

Life Insurance Policy: You can assign an existing life insurance policy to SUS Foundation of Canada, naming the Foundation as both the owner and the beneficiary of the policy. Tax receipts are issued for the approximate cash value of the policy. You can also purchase a new life insurance policy naming SUS Foundation of Canada both as owner and beneficiary of the policy. The donor makes the annual payments on the policy and receives a tax deduction for the premium payments from the Foundation.

Designated Funds: A Designated Fund represents a sum of money donated to and set aside within SUS Foundation of Canada for a special or designated purpose for the preservation and advancement of education and the Ukrainian culture in Canada. The annual income earned from investing the capital of each Designated Fund is disbursed in accordance with the instructions of those establishing the fund. Benefactors can include a particular organization or institution, a specific cause, project or area of interest. A Designated Fund creates a legacy providing an opportunity for an individual, family, organization or institution to make a lasting contribution to the community.

  • A minimum contribution of $25,000 is required to establish a Designated Fund.

  • Any funds which you had previously donated to SUS Foundation of Canada will be credited to your Designated Fund.

  • Family members and friends can continue to contribute to the fund.

As SUS Foundation of Canada is a Canadian registered charity, donations qualify for a Canada Revenue Agency tax receipt.
